Basic Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician
The Basic Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician course is an online course for individuals seeking a pool operators certificate valid in North Carolina and some other states. Call for details about your states requirements. This is an 8 hour course. Pool operators in Wake County, North Carolina will need to take our 16 hour National Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician Course. If you have any questions about the course, please call our Headquarters at 1-877-766-5724. The American Swimming Pool and Spa Association has been teaching pool operators since 1997.
Participants will receive a copy of "The Complete Swimming Pool Refernce" 2nd Edition by Dr. Tom Griffiths. This is a 400+ page book on swimming pool and spa operation.
At the conclusion of the course individuals must score 70% or higher on a 50 question test in order to be certified by the American Swimming Pool and Spa Association.

National Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician
The National Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician course is an online course for individuals seeking a widely accepted pool operators certificate. Currently there are 19 states requiring pool operators. Sixteen of those states have approved the National Licensed Aquatic Facility Technician course. This is a 16 hour course. North Carolina Renewal Test for Pool Operators
Participants must mail a copy of their certificate from an approved program in North Carolina along with a copy of a photo I.D. in order to renew through our organization. Participants must also score 70% on the renewal test.
Get the latest addition of "The Complete Swimming Pool Reference" 2nd Edition by Dr. Tom Griffiths for an additional $35.00 by typing "withbook" in the promotional code section on the checkout page. Do not skip spaces.
This renewal test will give pool operators in the state of North Carolina a license as a pool operator. This will not renew any national certificate that the operator has but will allow those with a certificate from an approved course to optain a certificate valid in North Carolina. Pennsylvania Aquatic Facility Technician
This course was developed specifically to provide an online training class that will allow Category 24 Pesticide License holders to earn all the recertification credits required by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for their three year CEU cycle. This course has been approved for 6 Core, 4 Category 24 Swimming Pool, and 4 Category 18 Demonstration and Research CEU's. The course requires a total time of at least 6 hours online to complete. The 6 hours can be divided up into any increment of time that the participant desires but most be completed within 45 days of registering.
Additional time can be purchased at the end of the 45 days if the course is still not completed. The cost for each additional 15 day period is $15.00.
